Guest Whitster Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 There seems to be a problem with the Gmail POP3 email account i've set up on the Vario II. Every so often it will try download around 40 emails even when they have been previously downloaded and are even marked as read within the actual Gmail website. It's not so much a problem. Just a bit annoying when you have to go through deleting 40 email messages on the phone. So is there any reason why it is doing this and how I can stop it? Im using EmailWiz for the POP3 settings.

Easiest option might be to create a new folder named archive or old etc and move read emails to that - it's what I do with Yahoo...
Guest mhickin Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 Not strictly a solution, but it looks like Google just released a Java based mobile email client for Gmail. I installed and it works a treat! It preserves the look and feel of the full gmail. Browse here: www.gmail.com/app So now I have a question. Can you create shortcuts to Java apps and get them on the Today Screen?
