Wifi Access

Hey Folks

Just got a new "toy" :rolleyes: :(

Orange SPV 3100 ;)

I've disabled the GPRS as I've not got that included and I don't want to run up huuuuuge :) ;) bills...

Anyway, so, I've installed the latest version of Ministumbler but it doesn't seem to find the wireless connection. Is this normal?

I've probably seen this info and not digested it properly. I'm a bit stressed this weekend :D

Anyway, so, er, if that isn't available, what is there out there?

Also, I've tried connecting to a friends router. It's localised and unsecured (he live's in the sticks) but it won't connect.

If I go into the nearby city there are a bunch are secured and insecured. But likewise those aren't connecting either :)

Ahh well. Any help would be greatly appreciated :P

Get a couple of other apps (WiFiFoFum http://www.aspecto-software.com/rw/applications/wififofum/ and Hitchhiker, http://www.kasuei.com/hitchhiker/) and see if those work. If not, you might have dodgy radio chipset, or dodgy firmware.

Ministumbler won't find wireless on an HTC Prophet or Orange SPV M600 either.
