Hello

I hope someone can help......

I'm using outlook 2003 client connecting to Exchange 2003 trying to sync using ActiveSync 4.2 on my Windows XP machine via my Vodafone V1240 and it errors everytime I sync with the following (taken form Event Logs)...

Faulting application wcesmgr.exe, version 4.2.4876.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x039fe52f.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

&

Fault bucket 343991044.

I would be really grateful if someone could help.

I've tried the usual... removing outlook profile and re adding and remove ActiveSync but I'm getting no where and getting rather frustrated.... <_<

You could try googling the activesync error code, I tried those errors and got nothing.

I'd try v4.1 if I were you

Not tried v4.2, but v4.1 is working fine for me in the same setup

With 4.1 installed....

Faulting application wcesmgr.exe, version 4.1.4841.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0511e4ec.
Fault bucket 344010938.

Sorry, I assumed that's what you were doing from the start.

Direct sync works well, especially for Direct Push, so I'd stick with it if I were you

Yea really happy with it, worth noting to anyone else who attempts this to double check the replication schedule - find my handset attempting to hit the mail server using a data call when not connected to my LAN - it obviously failed but it could have got costly if I had'nt of noticed the "G" icon appearing occasionally
