Hi Guys......

Technicallyy speaking, could anyone provide a good resource/website to learn more about extended rom and hows it diff from main rom.......btw i have jus switched from symbian platform..

any help is highly appreciated

It's basically operator customisation that auto loads after a hard-reset as I understand it.

if extended rom is just a bunch of cabs to be installed as per mobile ops requirements, then do they install it themselves or is it integrated with the main "ROM" and then shipped to MO's.......

also can any developer with a couple of interesting apps can build up hi own ex-rom.......is it that simple???

pls bear with me if my q's sound a bit stupid but I would appreciate if anyne could guide me to get some technical info on this.........can be any other forum as well.....

I honestly don't know whether the manufacturers add it or the operators - It can be flashed to update it when a newer version comes out. XDA-Developers site is probably the best on technical info.
