Guest EvilDaz Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Hi I restored my phone to factory defaults as it was playing up. I though I would bypass the install of the Orange Cabs. However if you do this you no longer have an MMX inbox in messaging, and various other things that I though it was better to have. So I hard reset again and let the Orange cabs install. What I noticed was that without the Orange cabs, in MMS settings I can set the "Sending size Limitation" to be 250k Max, but with the Orange cabs the max is 100k. Does anyone know if this can be altered either by software or altering a reg setting? Its driving me nuts as its hindering a lot of MMS I have been tring to send recently. And I'm fed up of having to alter the camera setting every time I want to take a picture I wish to send. Thanks Daz
Guest EvilDaz Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 (edited) Hello all. Some of you may be glad to know that I have fixed this. What you need to do is, using a reg edit program (I use Resco), drill down to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\test] (NOTE: I believe that my settings are in "test" as I modified the default server in the mms settings with my mms server settings as opposed to adding a new entry. I presume that if you add a new entry then the you will have a different folder in which to edit the setting, but I don't know for sure, I have not tested this. ) now click on "SendDefault" Change the value in decimal to 512000 ( this will set the sending size limitation to 500k ) I now have no probs in sending any of my pics. If you go back into your MMS settings you still can only set the "Sending size limitation" to 30k or 100k, however the setting in reality will be 500k, unless you click "ok" off the setting screen, it will then reset the registry value to 102400 (100k) or 30720 (30k) depending in what is selected in the drop down box at the time. You will then have to change the registry setting again. Cheers Daz Edited November 9, 2006 by EvilDaz
Guest EvilDaz Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Hi I have also discovered something else. If you go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\SizeLimit] Change the value of "SendCount" to 3, then change the value of "SendLimit1" to 102400, the value of "SendLimit2" to 256000 and the value of "SendLimit3" to 512000 then when you go into the MMS setting you can now choose 100k, 250k or 500k from the drop down box for "Sending size limitation". Hope this is useful to some of you. :) Daz
