Guest LushUK Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Only just got it yesterday.. This thing keeps going into "sleep mode" - screen shuts off, even though I have told it to NEVER do that. Also, I can't seem to get the buggar to charge on my Powered USB Hub - have tried three different ones now. Has anyone else experienced this?

It depends on what you call "sleep mode" - the screen does turn off but the phone is still on ( you will see the green light flash every few seconds) you can set up the following back light to turn off after a set time if its no on mains power and then the screen to turn off after a set time or for it to stay on all the time ( I would only do that if its on main's power or on USB sync as it will zap the battery ) These settings can all be changed in the power settings. It is normal to set the unit up that the screen turns off after 30 seconds when its on battery power but like I said you can turn it off if you want to so that its on all the time but I would think the battery will be dead in no time at all if you do this.

AHA - found it - the phone automatically switches off if not used for 2 mins (in the battery section of the system) - why have this setting as well as the one for the backlight? Thanks for your advice.
