I keep getting the following notification message on synching:

Cannot Connect

Dialed: general.t-mobile.uk

The answering modem has disconnected

To check you connection settings and

change thine is needed, tap settings

The only way around this seems to be soft resets about once an hour to be able to access my email

Do you sync to a PC with a proxy setting? If you do set up a separate connection for this machine with the proxy set, otherwise the device can get confused and look for a non-existant proxy when using GPRS.

Forgot to add - this is when synching over GPRS/UMTS - not when connected to PC, so, e.g. connecting to the internet and getting my emails when out and about - there appears to be some kind of timeout. I did install GB-Tweak which turns of GPRS polling when idle to save battery time, so i wonder whether it is this thats causing the issues

It could GB-Tweak - sounds suspiciously likely.

with regard to syncing - the problem with the proxy means that even over GPRS the device looks for the proxy and hence fails - it's easily solved by adding a second connection but it confused me when I was just using a single connection.
