Guest grumpy_old_technobyte Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Even though the CWS reps said it can't be done, they were wrong. I bought the G-Sat BT-359 reciever and paired it w/ the SDA (after downloading the Telenav app ofcourse). It connected really fast, I was scared it wouldnt even recognize it after hearing the TomTom horror stories. The Telenav software did the bluetooth pairing settings itself. I know I could have tried pairing it on my own, but I thought that was pretty cool for it to take the inititive. The voice that comes on to alert you of a turn is pretty low, a trick is to use a fm transmitter to pipe the voice thru yer speakers! Has anyone else tried this setup? Any tips with your experience would be helpful.
Guest grumpy_old_technobyte Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 well, I was excited to get GPS service working on the smartphone, but now I realize Telenav is a waste of money for monthly service and free mapping. I've got iNav working well on the MDA, soon the 8525, but it doesn't work for the SdA. What is the best for smartphone GPS bluetooth software? Also, will CameraAware work in the states?
