Changing Icons

There are some icons in my start menu which are either low res, or could be bigger, or I just don't like. Is there a way of extracting the icon file from the cab file and editing it in photoshop/paint and resaving it before putting back in the cab file or can i simply just edit the shortcut icon ink file itself and resave it with a better icon before putting back in my phone?

Any help much appreciated.

You can make your own icon resource file then use the icons as your Start Menu icon replacement (folder or program icon). Kindly check this for some instructions. :)
