Guest alexbookpro Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 hey. wondering if anyone else's keyboard refuses to work after waking the phone from sleep? I get a message for example,go to reply and they key board refuses to work. it shows on screen when I press caps lock or the circle button,so I have no idea why it wonZt let me type. any help to fix this would be ace. Guest alexbookpro Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 I should have said that I can only get it working by holding cicle then pressing sym/tab and then when I start typing it works. is the some setting I have changed or is this a faulty handset?

I was thinking that it was a bug to be honest as it appears to happen within the same apps and circumstances although cant now think what they are!
Guest alexbookpro Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Just wondering wheter anyone has any idea how to resolve this? I replaced my original handset and still get the same problem. I still sometimes get a keyboard that refuses to work, is it anything to do with the software? Does anyone else get this? Or is this not a very common occurence? Should I be looking to replace this handset as well? If anyone has a reason this is happening and I could avoid it, it would be brilliant. Thanks Alex

Thanks Alex The fact that the same thing happens on mine, and two different pieces of kit that you have had, plus the same work around resolves the issue for all devices says to me software NOT hardware, So there is no point in asking for a replacement - especially as its not something that can always be replicated! Its a pain in the arse (on occassion) but the work around is simple!
