Guest Johnathan_DC Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Hi All, Im new here but have had a Vario for 2 months, I was just wondering what battery life do you expect from your vario?? I have to admit im actually on my second vario as of yesterday when i took my first one back to T-Mobile. It was not even lasting a day after a full recharge, whether i made any calls, sent any Txt Messages, recieved any e-mails or not! As an experiment before i called T-mobile I performed a hard reset and didnt put anything on it, i gave it full recharge and switched it on Friday Morning (06:30am - 10th Nov) it died at 4pm the same day after sending 1 text message!! Anyways i took it to T-Mobile - said my piece about it being unreliable - which it was (i was carrying around my old O2 pay as you go phone) they said they could replace just the battery - or the whole handset and like most - i took the brand spanking handset option! Anyways the new one got the same conditioning charge as the old one and was switched on last night - performing the same test as i did on the other one (no e-mail setup) the phone is still showing 100%, much improved over the last one...anyways my questions are these... 1. Has anyone suffered with a similar problem with the Vario II or did i just get the only broken one?? 2. What type of battery life can i expect now that i seem to have a working one, obviously with E-Mail etc setup on it - a rough guess would be good! Cheers everyone!

I can just get two days with moderate use with email polling at 15 mins. If I use wi-fi for much more than 45 mins a day then 2 days is a struggle.
Guest Whitster Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Just thought I would ask, have you made sure "recieve all incoming connections" is turned off in Connection settings? It was mentioned in another topic and has been none to help increase battery life.

I'm happy enough with it getting me through the weekend as during the week it's synced with my work PC.
