update: Nevermind, submitted for a replacement this afternoon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The only headset I had within reach was my SMT5600 one today. I plugged it in to my 2125 and now the only mode where I can hear anything on my phone is with the headset attached. Nobody can hear what I say in any mode.

What the heck happened?

Recap...

- I can only hear with the headset plugged in. No matter what profile I am in.

- Nobody can hear me talk... regardless of the profile.

I've powered off the phone a few times, ripped the battery while attempting to check voicemail... for the most part this phone has been flawless until this very annoying issue. It really makes working from home when your mobile is your only phone difficult!

Note: Everytime I power off my phone, it comes back up in the Headset profile. How can I force this to turn off? As best I can see, there is nothing in the jack area! It's clear and free of any debris. Any ideas?

Ha - that is not cool. <_< Funny thing is - THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!! Can you believe it?? Mine wouldn't go back to "Normal" until I plugged the headset back in and then unplugged it again. Weird.

So, that worked for me, but ever since then other things have been happening. My phone randomly decides to stop logging my calls and I have to delete my entire call log before it will start logging them again. It won't sync correctly, and my time and date constantly resets.

Solution - I went to Cingular and explained what was going on (my joystick also has pretty much worn out), and they said it was still covered under the 1-year warranty. This was good news for me, but may or may not be for you. The new phone came with an improved power button, better joystick, and updated software - but I can't sync the old one so I am trying to figure out what to do. One option is to use the FinchSync or try to figure out a way to copy the "poutlook" file to place on my new device. I can connect, it just doesn't sync.

Peace <><

Happened quite a bit with the mpx220 from what I've read. And the only solution to that was the same as miershpedankl found (btw could your username be any harder to remember?, I ended up opening your profile so I could copy and paste it).
