E Icon On Homescreen Where the gprs G Icon Usualy Is

Hi,

Can anyone explain why sometimes I get an icon of the letter E where I usually have the G to notify I have GPRS? I'm a little confused and would love to know what it's all about - i can't find anything on it in the user manual.

Basically this means you have an EDGE connection rather than a GPRS one. EDGE is faster than GPRS and is starting to get better coverage in the UK.
