Morning all,

have an SPV C500 and am looking for the best firmware upgrade?

i am in Australia and want to also get rid of all the Orange screens (it is unlocked).

I tried the SP3 and said INVALID VENDOR ID....

You need to CID unlock before you can use another ROM other than one by Orange.

SPV developers has a system you can use or if you are less technical minded you can use imei-check.co.uk as they SIM unlock plus CID unlock at the same time. They do charge £20 though.

As for the ROM once you have CID unlocked use the WWE version of the SP3 ROM.
