Guest jddsharp Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 So I have a TORQ N100 running WM5, which is fantastic but if I want to upgrade to the latest and greatest short of five years from now when this one dies, I need to make the TORQ wife friendly. A great step in the right direction was Paul's suggestion of Spb Full Screen keyboard (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/fsk/?en), which removes the stylus from the equation. Now I'd like to open it up to the forum to see if anyone else has any tips, tricks or apps that make a WM5 Pocket PC, perhaps not even wife friendly, but mom friendly. I understand this might be a bit much to ask, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Something, that I think would be a step in the right direction would be replacing the Today screen with 6 or 9 THUMB Sized buttons / shortcuts to the basics, like:Tomtom; SMS; Phone; Windows Media Player; etc.
Guest daedalia Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Maybe an adaption of the following device would serve better.

Guest djfuego Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 LOL good one :) I just got my wife to buy that little t mobile thing that looks like an M500 mda but feels a bit Tackier without a fast processor and backup battery. She can use it, just; but it came with free sat nav! allteria motive I know but I got 'my' sat nav now :D The mda sux for gaming because of the slow chip. I haven't seen a phone just like the m500 with latest os but i'm sure by the time one comes out I'll be in line for an upgrade.
Guest daedalia Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 The M600 is what you're after.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 My missus has a MDA Compact III and loves it (RollR and all)... she won't give up Pocket PC nowadays, despite being a former MPx220 user and pledging her heart to Smartphone, lol! P
