MDA Compact 3 wifi question

Hello all,

I have recently purcased an MDA Compact 3 with Tmobile here in the uk. And i am abit confused about the wifi issue.

I was just wondering if somebody could comfirm if it actuall has wifi on board and just disabled or it has NO wifi hardware at all. Its just that some websites that i have read said its just disabled but others say that it is stripped out altogether? :)

But if it does have it on board and it is just software disabled there must be away to enable it again right?..

In an answer, no I can't as I've not seen anything definitive BUT I'm starting to suspect that the T-Mobile MDA Compact III, being an ARTE110 (the model ID given to it by HTC the manufacturer), is a model without the wifi hardware unlike the model being marketed by HTC themselves, the ARTE100, which does.

I expect an answer will come soon. In the meantime there's been discussion about the issue here.
