Guest Dr Who Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I have a free mail2web exchange account and I have just realised that I don't seem to be able to download attachments. I have gone into activesync and in settings for email I have selected download entire message AND include attachments and it has made no difference. if I go into messaging and select an attachment to download and then synchronise (via 3G) I just get the notice 3/63K (or whatever) downloaded. Once activesync threw an error and said one of my attachments failed to download, but otherwise nothing. I assume someone has this working, so if you could point me in the right direction that would be great.
Guest beermonstermatt Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Has this problem before, went loopy trying to figure it out turns out it was a problem with the storage card, under Outlook E-Mail -> Options -> Storage. If you have "Store attachments on storage card" ticked it will refuse to download an attachment if you don’t have a card in or sometimes if the name of the card has changed. I had to remove my card reformat it and leave the volume name blank, popped it back in re downloaded all my emails and bingo, been working fine ever since. Hope it helps Matt

At one point the storage card was in this phone and I set it to download attachments to the card, but since then I have swapped the card over. As you say, as soon as I changed it back, did a send receive et voila I can get my attachments. Sweet.
