I am having some wierd problems recently. My replacement SPV C600 (the joystick on the old one stopped working) keeps entering into Home Service or Flight Mode automatically. Yesterday once the screen had turned itself off the phone was useless even if it was being rung by another phone (I tried it myself using another phone). However the green and blue lights were flashing on the front as normal so the phone was on. The only way to sort the problem was to remove the battery. This happened twice yesterday.

Anyway. once entering into Home Service or Flight Mode sometimes it is only for a moment and it switches back, other times it stays on. Also, the phone seems slow to respond to the menus, for example entering the SMSs.... Finally, whn I looked at the screen after taking it out of my pocket this morning, the screen had crashed and the phone was not responding. It said on the screen that no home menus could be found and only a few test items like the clock was on screen. I have called Orange and was told to do a hard reset.

Finally bluetooth seems to not work properly between phones (althopugh I think this is an issue with all SPV C600s).

Does anyone have any ideas other than stamp on it! lol Seriously though I will do the hard reset, but do Orange send out dud phones as replacement?

Cheers. Matt

Your replacement will be a refurb job and should have been tested but....ya know :)

Hard reset is the best option here so let us know if you get the device working again.

Otherwise it's going to have to go back to Orange.

I had the same issues...... got my phone replaced. It drove me insane in the end!

They will blame the area, sim cad everything but the faulty c600......

my joystick stopped responding too.... that was the reason it was replaced.......

I'm on my 4th replacement C600 in 2 weeks... My original phone developed a fault with the joy stick and so it began, the first replacement did not boot, the second replacement kept restarting and the 3rd did not respond to anything you did on it. My 4th replacement device will be with me between 6 and 10 tonight.

I have to admin I did lose my temper with the guy on the other end of the phone, I know your not meant to... I mean your supposed to be all sweet and innocent just to get any sort of response from some one who works 1st line on a support desk, but I just lost it, the tool on the other end of the phone was the most unhelpful and arrogant **** I've ever spoken to, why on earth some people get jobs in customer service I just don't know.

When this next phone goes wrong and I'm expecting it will, I'm gonna have to speak directly to a manager or team leader a damand a new c600 not one of those refurbed phones as Orange must be having a problem with them. Is anyone else having a problem with the Replacement Refurbished Phones?

Surely Orange are able to send out new devices or perhaps s similar phone as a replacement? I must say that orange customer service has gotten repeatidly worse of the last 10 years I have been with them, perhaps this is the final nail in the coffin... I would move to a different network if they only offered these devices.

Rant Over...
