Guest Alex G Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 (edited) Well, I have broken my SPV c500 so I got a t-mobile SDA 2. it's unlocked and is on orange. anyway, I tried to put songs on it with the old versions of activesync and media player that worked with my SPV c500. This didn't work so I updated activesync and media player to the latest versions. still doesn't work. I try with media player and it syncs one or sometimes 2 songs then aborts the rest and says the synchronisation is complete. I know have the space on the storage card for the songs. and it's obvious that it's capable of putting them on, it just doesn't finish. when I try using explorer and doing it without media player it does the same. so can anyone think of anything, on my phone or computer, that isn't letting it do it properly? if you need any more info just post. Guest Alex G Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 OK, I got it to work with explorer. But this means that I don't get any of the album art or other things that I would if I was synching using windows media player. at the moment I've got activesyn v 4.2 and media player 10. I've tried with the activesync 4.5 beta and windows media player 11. I never had this trouble with my SPV C500 and don't see why it would be any different. thanks.

Guest Pondrew Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Very few HTC Huricanes, of which the SDA II and SPV C550 are two of them, will sync with media player. I've never got an explanation and changing rom doesn't seem to help I'm afraid...
Guest Alex G Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 (edited) ah, OK. well, I can just put my card into my Dad's SPV C500 for now. He's getting a new phone soon though so dunno what I'll do after that :) thing that confuses me is that it synchronized one or two songs and then stopped. then I couldn't do anything with media player or explorer until I restarted my phone. maybe it's activesync on the phone that's the problem? anyway, thanks for the help.
