SP keylock / unlocking, system font size, & home screen themes

The Blackjack (Samsung SGH-i607), like the Moto Q and other HTC SPs I've owned, requires three key presses to unlock the keypad after keylock is engaged: Power, then the soft "unlock", then "*". This almost requires a two-handed operation by the fact that one needs to reach up to press the Power key.

I find this somewhat awkward and cumbersome. For me, the Treo has one of the best keypad locking and unlocking strategies.

Are there any undocumented methods to unlock the keypad (i.e., by pressing and holding some other key that is more easily reached) or a utility that changes the way the keypad unlock behavior, thus allowing for a more swift unlock?

Question 2: Is there a utility (or registry hacks) that allows one to change the system font size, including menu items, PIE favorites, SMS/email text size, icon size, and so on? With a 320x240 screen, I would like to display more information by using smaller font size and objects.

Question 3: I did find the XML and scripting information to customize the home screen. Is there a "creator" or "wizard" tool that allows one to customize the today screen without having to write a custom script? I look to change the font size and add additional elements to be displayed on the screen.
