I mean without using ActiveSync, I want to access to my notebook pc folder with my QTEK S200 using the Wi-Fi connection. How can I do this? Is there any applcation for this?
Guest Looby Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Hi drmusic. Firstly establish a Wi-Fi partnership between your notebook and device. After switching Wi-Fi on both a wizard will open after detection asking for a Name for your connection and a security key( usually minimum of 5 digits ). Once established everytime you connect Wi-fi you enter your security code and it connects. Next go to your notebook start\My Documents\My Network Places\Set up a wireless network for home or office. A wizard will open- tick all the boxes you want to use and save. Next on your device go to start\settings\connections\VPN and enter.... Description-Your connection name VPN type -IPSecL2TP Connects from- The Internet Connects to-Work Username-blank Password-blank Domain-blank IPSec authentication-Pre-shared key IPSec Pre-shared key-Your 5 dgit security code. This should tie the whole thing together. If you have ticked the 'share Internet Connection' then you can browse the Internet on your device through the Wi-Fi! Best of luck, it works well between my laptop and my i-mate SP5...Looby :)
