How can i flash my hp ipad rom to English from another language?

hi,

i got a hp ipad rx3715 from my friend in HK and it's in chinese. i've got the official english rom from HP but failed to flash it. I tried it with a Chinese Rom it worked tho. So there should be nothing wrong except the language difference.

Does the rom prevent upgrades from a language other than its own?

If so, how can i get around with it?
