Guest minah86 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 I am new to this board, and am looking for some help on how to transfer files from my computer to my phone, Cingular 2125. I am very new to this ActiveSync/Bluetooth stuff, and am confused by what the manual is telling me. Now, I got ActiveSync, opened it, and noticed it only allows me to sync my calendar, tasks, etc. but I want to transfer program/applications to my phone, how do I go about doing that? I heard about "application unlocking", but how do I copy the file to the folder? When I right-click the file, there is no "copy" option. I am just utterly confused and frustrated as I have put in atleast a couple hours trying to figure this stuff out. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help! application unlocking lets you install non windows approved apps. Let me find you a link to it and ill give you one, i have the same phone and it worked fine. im not liable tho lol. http://www.gpcarreon.com/SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip there it is, thats the exact one i used, dont freak out it takes a little while. you run it on your computer when your phone is connected via usb.
Guest Confucious Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 In Activesync on your PC click "explore" and it opens up an explorer window for your phone so you can copy files to it like you would on your PC. Most programs come as a .exe file which you just run om your PC and they automatically install from there. If you have any .cab files copy these to your phone and run them from there.
