Guest simon11 Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 I had a C600 running the latest Tom Tom software with full post codes. It went faulty and I had it replaced under my Orange warranty. When I received it it wouldn't pair with my computer until I upgraded from activesynch 4 to 4.2. Meaning the software has been changed in some way. Then disaster. My tom tom software will not work with it. It gets to the agreement page and then nothing else. It does not load. I have been on to Orange trying to get my old phone back so that I can have it repaired but they say this is impossible. Tom Tom service is a disgrace and they don't want to know. I have had trouble with them before over upgrading my software and they wouldn't do it. They said I had to buy new every time I change my phone. Has anybody else had this trouble? Is there any answer? Thanks for any replies good or bad. .

I will try the security level method of unlocking and see what happens.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 you will still have to send a request for a new activation code. As for the initial problem check the My Documents folder on the phone, you should have a folder called TomTom. Next make sure there's a file in it, any file should do, then after running TomTom a CurrentMap.dat file will be created and the other file can then be removed.
