depends on the type of install. If it is an EXE most likely you run it on your computer and it installs thru activesync. If it is a .CAB file then drag and drop it to a folder on your phone and install from there. There is an exception for EXE files tho. Some of them dont run on windows you drag and drop them on your phone and they work.
