Is it possible to edit the programs in the ROM?

Cingular just released the BlackJack.. There are a lot of useless programs installed on to the phone. Is there any way to remove those programs from the ROM?

If they are in ROM - no. If they are in Extended ROM then yes.

With most phones the suppliers have all their custom programs in Extended ROM which is loaded when you do a hard reset and you can stop it loading. Cleverer people than me can edit the extended ROM and select what to load - I sugest a visit to spv-developers.com is in order as that's where all this sort of thing is discused.
