Guest scoobytwo Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 (edited) as the title says im looking for a Bluetooth stereo headset with a 3.5mm audio jack. ive seen the itech clip s35 talked about on here and seems the most popular. looking at the itech site there is also the Clip R35. it looks slightly better as the audio jack is in the unit and not on a wire like the s35. it also has FF/RW controls, does anyone know if these work on the hermes? link; http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_sp...2&pid=02030 are there any others out there worth considering? Guest scoobytwo Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 ive just found this http://www.expansys.com/htc/p_htc_item.aspx?i=140285 the 'HTC S100 Bluetooth Stereo Headset' wich looks like a rebranded itech R35. so it looks like that the r35 would work with all remote commands.
Guest louisw Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 I have the R35 and like it a lot . but the pause no longer works for some reason (ff, rw, +vol and -vol) work well.
Guest scoobytwo Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 good, but works well with a hermes? i notice you have a Treo 650 as your device.
Guest feeta Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Hi Guys, I have an itech clip s35 and something strange seems to be happening :) Everytime I disconnect the headset from bluetooth (turn it off) and then turn it back on the next time i want to use it, the 'phone' functionality works - as in, i can pick up calls with it, but my m3100 doesnt seem to pick up that it's a bluetooth stereo headset and in order to listen to music, i have to remove the pairing and then re-add it. Anyone experianced this problem? Pete :D
Guest mini_man Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 btw with the pause bug. Try pocketplayer! Use the avcrp plugin and the controls work flawelessly! using it on my vario and C600
Guest louisw Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 good, but works well with a hermes? i notice you have a Treo 650 as your device. Actually, I have the vario II (I just now updated my profile)
Guest scoobytwo Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 ok, ive ordered a clip R35 off ebay from ubuy_mobile_uk for £42.49 inc postage. its coming from hong kong so well see how long it takes.
Guest Damiantmc Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Yeah, I've got a Vario 2 and the clip s35, got the s35 when i had my wizard to see if a2dp worked, smashing, upgraded to my Vario 2 and it just kept getting better. never had a problem yet, paired up easily, never had to change any settings etc, always works first time. Audio quality is mint considering the wireless, and the ability to use any headphones (or any other 3.5mm device) is the winner for me. I couldn't go back to wires. DTMc
Guest scoobytwo Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 i got my itech clip R35 today. everything seems to work fine. the volume doesnt seem to be changing the device volume but works like a slider volume on a headphone cable. the RW and FW buttons work in WMP. Ive not had time to mess around with it properly yet as im in work so i'll make further posts if i come across anything interesting.
Guest estocks Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Have you seen the Sony one with the scrolling display data too? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-SONY-ERICSSO...1QQcmdZViewItem
Guest daedalia Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Thanks fellas, exactly what I've been looking for for a while now, just ordered one from ebay. As a note the HTC branded one was going for about £25 more than the Itech one on expansys.
Guest Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I received my HTC S100 bluetooth jobbies last week from expansys. Gotta say I am very happy with it so far, the heaphones it came with (earbud type) kept falling out of my ears, but they got thrown in the trash. I now have my shure earphones in and music sounds clearer, louder and the remote control works as expected. Dialling contacts is easy if you have recorded a voice tag for them, and you can do this all from the remote without having to touch the phone. Very pricey I must admit, and the fact you cant replace the battery is a shame, however charging via USB with the charging plug is a nice touch. No comment on the battery life just yet, as they havent really been used enough, but overall I am happy with them, even though they cost a fair whack.
