If you're careful you probably don't need one, not everyone uses them. Personally I like the reassurance they provide.
Guest Rob.P Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 (edited) I have a JAVOedge protector cause my phone lives in and out of my pocket a lot, I don't put anything else in my pocket mind, but I used to be conscious of pulling my phone out and catching the screen on one of the metal studs you get on denim. Generally good piece of mind. (Plus it closes up the gap between screen and phone, which stops my wiskers getting caught on the phone after a call, plucking my facial hair with my phone eventually started to annoy me). Guest MacHooligan Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Just purchased a martin fields number from ebay after reading a few reviews. Never really bother with these kind of things but in the case of my new Vario I'll make an exception. :)
Guest Wam7 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 I picked up one from Poundland for err.... a pound. :) I was surprised how good they were. I was a little apprehensive as I watch a lot of stuff on my M3100 but they are very clear.

Guest Vibein Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Always used martin fields protectors, not cheap for what they are but rather that then a scratched screen.
Guest MikeWard1701 Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I'm currently using the one that came with my Vario, but looking for a new and better one as it doesnt completely fit plus its got a few microbubbles under it. So looking for a good quality one that is 'easy' to apply. My fingers though brilliant with the black 'n' whites are a bit too chubby when it comes to applying screen protectors. Do any come with something to make applying them any easier? I've been considering a non self-adhesive one but don't know if they're available or how good they are. Mike
Guest JudgeDredd Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 (edited) Go have a look at Boxwave.com I am using there Crystal one. Very Nice. Edited November 30, 2006 by JudgeDredd
Guest mhickin Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I'd like to reiterate the Martin Fields recommendation. It really is good, you'd never know it was on there. Also, the first time I fitted it I put it too close to the left hand side of the screen, and accidentally left a very small space on the right hand side of the screen. As it turns out, this provides an excellent 'scroll bar' groove for the stylus when in portrait screen alignment ... :-)
Guest esame Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 I'll definitely put it on, I can rest assured that my screen is well protected, what's a few dollars compared to the cost of replacing a new LCD screen? I have recently come across a site call www.expertshield.com.sg, i think it's expert shield's sister website. It has a video showing how to properly put on a screen protector, I think this is particularly useful for someone who's putting on a screen protector for the first time. Hope this helps. Cheers
Guest jph Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 I use the screen protectors i bought for my nintendo DS. A pack of 12 pairs cost £5 inc. p+p on ebay. Use a sharp knife to cut to size,24 protectors - 21p each!
