Guest Ste Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I have just got my SPV today. I have gone through the correct procedure to remove the app signing but I have had no luck. I know that the files have copied onto the SPV because ORange in my favourites has changed to Orange Home - what I changed it to. I went to install PHM Registry Editor and it did install but when I clicked on it an error message popped up saying that it is not a valid Windows CE application. Can anybody help me please. I changed the security policies to in both mxicold_oem10.provxml and mxi_oem10.provxml.
Guest Deathrow Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I went to install PHM Registry Editor and it did install but when I clicked on it an error message popped up saying that it is not a valid Windows CE application. As I have wrote to somebody before, it's probably because you installing PHM Registry Editor with the installer program(.exe file). Try to install it with the .cab file. Worked with me! GL. Regards Deathrow
Guest Ste Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I install the .exe. onto my pc whilst the SPV is in the cradle. The SPV then automatically downloads the .cab file and installs it. It says that it has installed successfully and that the phone has to be restarted in order to complete installation. I do this but when I open the Registry Editor is comes up with the error message that I stated earlier. btw Where did you get your .cab file from or did you just do it the way that I have explained? Thanks
Guest dodgybob Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Yeah... download the CAB file as Deathrow said... I had exactly the same problem as you... The cab file can be found at: http://www.phm.lu/Products/Smartphone/RegE...it/download.asp Try also installing the application to your "phone" instead of your "storage card"... ;) Good Luck !
