Guest Croccy22 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 (edited) Ok, So I got bored this evening and tried playing Treasure Island Dizzy on my M3100 but the keys were a nightmare. So I decided to have a look and try and map the qwerty keyboard on the device to the emualtor. And it works!! First download the original fusesp from this site: http://www.aooa27.dsl.pipex.com/FuseSP.htm Install to the phone and then copy the attached exe file over the orignal. Run the EXE and Make sure the Screen Orientation is set as Landscape Left. Things working: All letter and number keys, Enter and Space. (To get number keys you need to hold the Blue dot button in bottom left) Not working: Punctuation, Delete key and spectrum arrow keys. (I am working on finding the key codes for these). All games i have tested now work much better and most games allow you to redefine the keys so you can choose what suits you. Also the keybaord allows for multiple key presses so jumping whilst walking is not a problem like it was on many smartphones. Thanks to Keith Orbell for the original fusesp code. And hopefully full keyboard support will be built into the next official release :D EDIT - New version uploaded that fixes a small but with the joystick still thinking it's enabled which then screws the keys up. Should be ok now. :)FuseSP.exe Edited November 26, 2006 by Croccy22
Guest daedalia Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Nice job fella, any joy with the extra keys?
Guest Jetsy Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Any chance on getting it running in 240x240 properly? :)
Guest Croccy22 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 With regards to the other keys, I havn't had time recently to have a look at it, been too bust at work etc. Just out of interest which keys is it that are missing that you need/want to use? 240x240 support: Unfortunately I don't have a device that I could test this on to see what the problems are etc. Also I havn't looked at the display code yes either as it all worked for me on my 320x240 device, If it ain't broke then don't fix it :) Matt.
Guest quite98 Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 (edited) I've added a new build (0.22) that should support both full keyboard and 240x240 mode. Full keyboard option must be turned on via the options menu. I don't have a 240x240 device to test with, so support for that is theoretical. http://www.aooa27.dsl.pipex.com/FuseSP.htm Croccy22 - thanks for your efforts here but please note that FuseSP (and indeed all variants of Fuse) are released under the GPL. This means that if you provide a binary, you MUST also provide the source code. Keith Edited December 19, 2006 by quite98
Guest Jetsy Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I can confirm 240x240 is working great on my Ipaq6915! Thanks for putting the support in! :) Also, full keyboard seems to be working too. I had a quick go on The Hobbit and it seems to be working a treat! Once again, thanks, I know what I'll be doing over this xmas break!!!
