Guest Vpr929 Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Try "The Core Pocket Media Player" (TCPMP), it's a fantastic player. More information and download can be found here: http://tcpmp.corecodec.org --VpR929
Guest bendy Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Try "The Core Pocket Media Player" (TCPMP), it's a fantastic player. More information and download can be found here: http://tcpmp.corecodec.org --VpR929 Hi I want to do the same thing but dispite TCPMP being fantastic it wont play MP4 audio? The bbc does video podcasts in mp4 format, and the picture is displayed but! it complains about the MPEG4 AAC decoder not being installed. Any help please? Thanks
Guest duke_stix Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 TCPMP does not play MP4 audio! hence my reason for asking for an alternative, WM-Mobile is just CRAP so i gave up! aparently older versions of TCPMP did play mp4 audio but i havent been able to track down an older version of TCPMP yet! your better off converting the formats really!
Guest bendy Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Thanks for that Well I did a bit of googling and when "Rarewares mp4 tcpmp" was entered a site came up with the following link http://www.rarewares.org/files/aac/tcpmp_a...mobile.0.66.zip Worked for me :-)
Guest mikeeey Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 TCMPM does play mp4 audio, and many other formats. just not the default player. u have to download the updates for the extensions on their website.
Guest exodus187 Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 (edited) WOW! Guys this is some serious software, I've been after a decent video player for my C500 and this is easily the best I've tried. Not only has it played WMV, 3GP and MP4 but also MPEG! I even got it to play M4V format files, the audio runs seamlessly but the video does stutter badly (for a Ricky Gervais audio podcast it's fine). Thanks alot lads, this is not only a very easy to instal player but it gives far better quality video playback (the video qualitty is much better than Windows MEdia Player or Pocket TV). Is there a solution to the stuttering playback of M4V files with TCPMP ? All video podcasts I have are in M4V format and I have the same problem - audio works fine, video stutters very badly.
Guest mandt Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Try setting the Video output option to either DirectDraw or GDI
Guest Lex03 Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 (edited) I use TCPMP with the mp4/aac decoder plugin and it works flawlessly on my phone. I use it to play my music and any flash clip/videos. Currently I have music videos on my phone with 32000hz stereo audio format, 320x240, 2mbps bit rate and 30fps. Plays like a real dvd movie would ;) . If you need some help let me know. Oh and I am using the Sprint Moto Q. :( Btw, I also have the flash bundle that goes along with this. With these 3 files, you can play flash files from youtube, google, veoh, and many other sites. It also gives you the option to save the videos in flash format on your phone. I have downloaded many files from those sites and enjoy watching them over and over with TCPMP on my Q. Edited November 14, 2007 by Lex03
