Guest Kippax Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 When I connect my phone with the USB cable and ActiveSync it will sync all neccessary items with no problems. However when I use the "explore" option it wont let me drag and drop piccies etc between laptop and phone. What am I doing wrong here ?

Guest richard_d Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Done that...... nope :) Odd it works for me - where on your device are you trying to copy files?
Guest Kippax Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Odd it works for me - where on your device are you trying to copy files? Just trying to move back piccies into the phone that I used on my old phone for contacts etc. Somebody has suggested in another similar thread below that I check the Firewall. That seems to make sense so I'll trty that tonight.
Guest jimbouk Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 if your firewall is blocking it and you dont know how to unblock it, you can go to settings, connections, USB to PC and disable the advanced USB connection. This reverts the connection toa USB instead of an RNDIS IP connection (and thus should avoid the firewall getting involved).
Guest Kippax Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 OK ..... sussed it. Its all about "copy n paste" rather than "drag n drop".... can't believe that, its really disappointing. And to make it worse you can't actually see thumbnails of what you've transferred. Not a problem with Music, but its a nightmare with images. Are there no alternatives or am I simply doing something wrong ?

Does get annoying when you want 1 picture out of several hundred!
