Guest sebflipper Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Hi, I have just got an O2 XDA Mini S, and I am trying to find a WiFi Scanner program to find hot spots and stuff. I have tried a few programs like WiFiFoFum and PocketWiNc but they cannot seem to detect the built in WiFi, I have switched it on and I am connected to my home wireless connection. Is there something I am missing, or is the HTC Wizard not compatible with WiFi scanners?
Guest pdtp Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 i use wififofum all the time works perfect. have you tried to connect to a wireless access point before? theres a possibility that it could be busted and you may need to try a new firmware or get the phone in for repairs.
Guest mandt Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I had problems with WiFiFoFum too, Try Hitchhiker from this thread: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=Hitchhiker
Guest sebflipper Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 (edited) Managed to get WiFiFoFum working in the end. Not quite sure what the problem was, probably just needed a soft reset or something. Has anyone else noticed that .NET Compact Framework 2.0 seems make the XDA/Wizard really sluggish? Are there any other WiFi scanners out there that don't need the .NET CF that works with the XDA/Wizard? Edited November 28, 2006 by sebflipper
