Guest aty Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 (edited) Hi, I'm looking for a good email program for my WM5 smartphone (XDA IQ). I'm either going mad or blind, but I can't seem to find one. I want to be able to setup the phone to check my pop3 email say every 30 minutes. I don't have a pc only a Mac so I can't use any sync with a desktop machine. Your suggestions are welcomed. Edited November 28, 2006 by aty
Guest jasnewt Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Profimail is the only one I am aware of. See HERE I don't tend to do much emailing from my phone, but from the little use I had it seems to work fine. Jason.
Guest jimbouk Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Erm... I don't understand. Unless you are asking for something different, the inbuilt messaging can handle pretty much any pop mail account. Just set up a new mail account in messaging and either let its auto set up find the servers for your pop account or enter them manually, then set it to check for new mail every 30 minutes on the advanced settings option before finishing the set up. You can always go back into options later and change the polling frequency on any mail account.

I have just set this up on my XDA mini s and it's fine but the smartphone is not happy

Guest aty Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Next is greyed outy until you enter something after the @ in the email address - you are entering the full email address not just the bit before the @ sign? Doh! a BIG THANK YOU Confucious, that sorted it out. I had assumed the name was your user ID and then you just enter your providers name after the @. But name is the name that you want to call this account, and email address is [email protected] Works a treat now. Once again Thanks
