Just a quick word of warning to those taking up Web'n'Walk with T-Mobile. If you do it online you qualify for the ?2 per month discount for self service (so ?13/?28 per month instead of ?15/?30) but for that you lose access to the normal customer service number and will be charged 50p per minute (max ?5) for calls to CS from your mobile.

Just make sure you call from a landline instead!

Well - I've not yet had to call them. I did want the GPRS settings but happened to be walking through town so dropped into the T-Mobile shop and the guy there wrote them down for me.

I did notice the 50p/minute mentioned at the signup online, so I was aware of it before I received the welcome pack.

and don't even think about using the e-mail facility.

Due to the popularity of this service, we're receiving high volumes of emails at the moment. We will do our best to reply to your enquiry within 5 days, but if your enquiry is more in-depth we'll reply within 7 days.

5 days is optimistic from my experience. :)

why would you want to call customer services? TMobile works fine, you can do everything you want on their website including subscribing to bundles and managing your account - free itemised billing and detailed GPRS consumption. I jumped to TMobile from orange having been with Voda and O2 before, and I must say I am impressed.

Orange is sh**t in comparison, and Voda never gets its acts together.

I did have to call CS when I started my contract (2 calls = ?3 or ?4) - typical when you move to a new operator and you're not quite sure how things work there- but i don't expect to call them in the next 9 months, so a great way to save ?2 a month.

I am very impressed by the online facilities T-Mob offer... haven't needed to call them yet.

Having said that, I invariably know more than the bod on the end of the phone when I do phone up

sure - but same applies at any UK mobile operator!

No-one impressed me by the quality of their CS staff - is the way forward to get rid of human beings at the other end of the line and do things your own way on their website? !!

My only complaint with My T-Mobile is that my sessions will die periodically for no reason meaning finding your place again.

A little tip... Dial 0845 412 5000 from your handset. Customer services at 10p/m instead of 50p/m. :)
