Vario Extended Rom Question

i've looked all over modaco and the xda dev network forums, I've just got my mda vario not done much to it yet as i'm not sure if its worth not installing the extended rom.

so firstly should i let all the t-mobile rubbish install?

second if not, what in the extended rom should i still install? as i dont have a clue what most of them relate to.

What tweaks do you recommend? With the t-mobile stuff installed it seems you can't differntiatebetween gprs and wi-fi, used some of the tweaks to get seperate symbols etc. Just wondering if anyone had a guide to the perfect network setup or can confirm that if you're connected to wi-fi it definately uses it for the net. as i dont have a clue what its using and while they are charging ?7a meg dont wanna find out.
