Guest Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 When the hour changed, I remembered to change the Board Settings on Modaco and ticked the box to say that DST is in effect. Recently though, I've noticed that the time there is an hour out. I had to remove the tick to get the right time. Then I had a look here, and noticed that the time here was an hour out the other way. Looked at the settings and saw there was an option (ticked) for auto-change to DST. To get the right time, I had to un-tick the auto change setting ,and manually tick the option to tell it that DST is in force. I know that the two forums are set up differently, but it seems odd that I have to tell one forum it is DST, and tell the other that it isn't! Have I missed something here, or are other folk having problems too? :)
Guest sporkguy Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 It may be that the box on which the forum is hosted has its clock set incorrectly for its timezone. As Modaco and Mobiholics are on different web hosts, I'm going to assume its probably because of that.... or Paul got something wrong :)
Guest Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Thanks, that makes sense. I'd never even thought of them being on different hosts, just kinda assumed they'd be the same. Ta.
Guest Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Thanks Paul, Mine still shows the following: Mobiholics - correct, but I have manully (not auto) told it that DST is in force. Modaco - correct, but only if I tell it that DST is NOT in force. Curiouser and curiouser.
