My phones' number after porting

I've spread my wings with this query, as it seems to be a problem that is not device specific.

For reference, I thought initially it was affecting just my Vario and have posted >> HERE <<

However, it is apparrent that the same problem exists with my wife's Nokia 6280 which has had her number ported from Orange to T-Mobile today as well.

Anyone know if the number reported under list of "my numbers" on the 6280 - or any other handset for that matter - can be altered ??

Think I may have sorted it peeps.

Mind I needed the use of my "Old" Orange C550, and it's Sim Manager application.

(The same application on the Vario doesn't seem to be as functional !!)

Edited the phone number and hey presto, when it's back in the Nokia it appears correctly.
