Genie sims at the time were legendary at my school. I'm sure it started out as unlimited texts, unlimited wap, but this was quickly changed to 300 texts, 300 mins of wap.

Genie was the online part of BT Cellnet, sims cost I think ?9.99 but this varied. Now, this might not sound very special, but at the time it was awesome.

Genie Internet was bought and rebranded as o2 online, at the same time as o2. The Genie sims are now o2 online PAYG sims, and are pretty much the same - but with cheaper calls.

Not so special now (though still a great PAYG deal), but at the time.... awesome :)

Basically, you top up 10 pounds every month on the same date and you get three hundred texts and keep thae ten pound credit as well.

You can also add various different bolt ons aswell - like 02 treats.

I have some thing like - 15quid per month

300 free texts

150 free evening and weekend calls (bolt on - top up 15 pound for 150 30 for 300)

15 free uk landline and O2-O2 minutes (again topping up 15 pound bolt on)

25% of cross network minutes (O2 treat)

Ok thanx its just i've seen a good deal offering a o2 genie sim and i was wandering whether i'd benefit from using it.
