Wish: something that slightly resembles decent battery-life

It would be really great, since I'd like to be able to actually bring the phone with me somewhere. A new type of battery, perhaps? Or better power management in the OS.

Standby is fine - and talk time.

But if you use the screen - eg games - browsing etc - it chews through the battery very quickly.

Adjustable backlight brightness would help?

Yep, yep. Better power management features and an optional bigger battery. I don't care if my phone isn't sleek, I DO care if I can't take it away for a weekend camping and use it for more than a couple of hours.
