Guest SteadyHand Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Hey guys, I have recently encountered that my phone feels extremely warm in the mornings. It drains a fully charged battery and then its fine all day. I recently installed Trend Micro mobile antivirus. It was free. It seems that the overheating problem coincides with this install. Has anyone experienced this before. Is is a battery issue or is the antivirus taxing my battery? Thanks in advance for your responses. I am uninstalling the antivirus and monitoring the situation. I will post results after the weekend.

I noticed that it becomes very hot to touch on the back when I use it as such. I have a feeling that like most other mobiles, when the processor is being worked constantly the battery gets really hot. I never had the same problem with my I-mate jam. I don't know if that helps any but let us know if uninstalling helps with the heat problem.
Guest Ingvarr Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 If you have WiFi enabled, this is normal. Turn of the WiFi when you dont need it. If its during usual use, its not normal.

That must be it. Thank you. I have on all the time. Im fascinated with picking up signals on my train ride home. Thanks again.
Guest Ingvarr Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Np. I think the single WiFi adapter while on uses about 3x times more power than all other hardware. WiFi is very power-hungry :)
