Message notification on home page, possible?

Is it possible to have a full screen notification display when new email / text messages are recieved, like the missed calls can do?

I saw some discussion about this from a year or so ago, using the organge plug in but when I tried to use that it wasn't full screen, it would show the bitmap starting at the same place the standard messages plugin is located. I can't capture the screen for some reason but it looks something like this.

Normal home screen:

Iconbar

Date / Time

Carrier

Email / SMS count

Profile

Calendar

When the notification was displayed the top of the notification bitmap started at the same place the Email / SMS count, any way to make it display starting at the top of the screen?

Duh, you have to have it in the right order in the .xml file. Should have realized that. Still doesn't work exactly like I want but it's displaying correctly now.
