Hi, I'm running SP Task Manager ver 2.1.1.315 on my Cingular 3125. Great program, but once or twice a day when going to app list or process list I get the message 'An error occurred while getting the process list'. Show sys status still works but the other two always show that msg. I have to restart the phone to get it working again. Even just ending SP Task Mgr, with another task mgr, does not solve the issue, only a restart of the phone.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem with my SP5. It seemed to run out of memory and the same error came up when using SPTaskmger. The first thing I did was to shift the Temporary Internet files cache to the sd card. Then installed quickclose and have it as a shortcut. The error occurs less as I think the cache was using too many resources previously. When it does occur, just run quickclose and it seems to clear most backround programs. If SPTaskmger still produces the error, then you need to use the inbuilt Task Manager to close large unwanted programs, and then run SPTaskmger to close the WM5 Task manager! Doesn't happen often and never occured in previous operating systems.

I emailed them and they admit it's a bug.

Next release should fix it.

I've already shifted the temp internet cache, plus 90% of my apps to sd. And I regularly close my open programs, but I keep getting this error once or twice a day. I guess I'll have to remove SP Task Manager untill the next version comes out. Pity, I really liked this program. :)

Thanks skanna,

Thanks. Did they say when the next release will be?
