2 Email Questions

I'm using the original email system built into the M3100 and have a couple of questions,

1. when responding to a emails from hotmail address's it continually returns an error message saying email address not recognised. I know the address are correct and they are in use off my normal PC with no problems.

2. Is there any way to set the M3100 to leave a copy of the email on the server so that I get all the emails on my PC when i fire it up next time i'm back in the office.

BTW I'm using a POP3 account and I dont sync all emails (outlook) as I've no need for them all on the M3100

My Vario II seems to do this by default, I can't seem to find a way of changing this behaviour anywhere in the settings.
