c500 navigation bar stopped working

hi,

The navigation bar on my c500 has stopped working,no reason it just stopped working today!It will navigate up or down (just about)but not left or right.It does not work when pressed in to open mail etc.

Is it possible to remove the front panel and fix this problem?The phone is not covered by any warrenty so the quicker and easier the better
