Guest blackjackforlife Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 I'm having problems installing TomTom on my Blackjack. I own TomTom Navigator 5.0 and have recently purchased TomTom Navigator 6. I cannot get either one to install on my Samsung i607 Blackjack. I went to TomTom updates and downloaded the upgrade 5.21 (5.2X something) for Navigator 5 because I have read that 5.2 works, but cannot upgrade until I can get the application installed and registered on my device. The problem is that I need TomTom navigator 5 installed and registered on my device to upgrade to 5.2, but apparently I must have 5.2 for my device to even be recognized. It's seemingly a circle of impossibility. I thought that I might get the application onto my microSD card and then install on my device, but Navigator 5 will not even recognize the card separate from the phone. Navigator 6 is similar. With Navigator 6 my phone is recognized as "PocketPC", but will not recognize phone memory or the 2G microSD card in the device. The memory card alone (separate from the phone) is recognized, but the application will not install once I go to the card from within the phone and attempt to execute the application. I have already ran an app unlock program and have a registry edit program. Any ideas?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Ask for a refund on TomTom 6 as you have been mis-sold. TomTom6 is not designed for the Windows Smartphone, the only smartphone TomTom actually list are Symbian devices.
