issue with homescreens (any)

Hey all

(I've stumbled across a few skin sites, jdskins and nectun) and i've found a few themes i like a lot!

now, the problem is the following:

after applying and installing the theme, if i want to revert to a different theme, say the default windows one, it will change, but i will NOT be able to get back to the home screen, only way out of this is to restart the device, this takes a while, and once it is back up, the homescreen is the same as the PREVIOUS theme and the colour theme is the one that i selected (windows default)

how do i get out of this cycle?

should i use something like themechanger?

anyone?!

this is really starting to get to me now. i've re-installed the rom, and done numerous hard resets before it, the only way to get out of that cycle is to restart the phone (which is a PITA)

i KNOW that the XML works fine as it opens great in internet explorer.

I'm going to attach the theme along with my edited XML and if anyone is willing to, could they please try it on their handset so i can rule out mine please.

I had the same problem with the mteor. guess it has something to do with the plugins that are requested for runing the theme.

I just reinstalled the plugins on the storage card and deleted the home hiff files from "aplication data-home" and restarted afterwards.

since then it worked good.

hey

it actually seems to be an issue with the 'twyx LCDplug' plugin.

i stumbled across another forum earlier were someone had basically had the same problem as me, didnt say what could fix it though, so thankfully its not my phone!

reinhardt, i'll try your method of installing the plugins to the memory card now and see what it does, hopefully it should be ok!
