MDA Vario II wont go into sleep mode automatically

Don't know whats going on now!! No new software installed since this problem has occurred.

The only way i can get the device into sleep mode is by doing it manually! I have backlight set to 30secs and sleep set to 1 minute.

Any ideas anyone?
