can i listen thru my headset but talk thru the mic on my phone

is there a registry edit so i would be able to talk thru the mic on my phone but listen thru the headset? the reason i need to do this is because the mic on my headset, or any headset i try, doesnt work on my phone. i think somethin inside got damaged, but it was really weird cause i just unplugged it one day and plugged it back in and it didnt work.

It's not possible as far as I'm aware as the headset jack basically acts as a switch, it's the saem reason why some people encounter the "stuck in headset" problem.

hm.. would u know why my phone wont work when i try to plug in a headset and i cant talk to people? is there a way thats been talked about ot open up the plugin or some way of playin with it to see if that fixes it?
