I assume it'll only affect the ability for new people to sign up for it, not for existing customers. It's not 100% clear in the article, just that it's been 'suspended'.

I always thought it would be embarrassing/rude to ask the Sales dude to put me on Friends tariff ..... guess they were just waiting for me to ask !!
